Comment:

 I can reproduce this now.

 The problem is that if you have a group "Foo" and then you try to create
 another empty group "Foo1", the moment you type "Foo", all of the layers
 under "Foo" will then auto-associate themselves with whatever name you
 continue to type, thus ending up under the group "Foo1"
