I have MapGuide OS running on a couple of XP Pro machines. I haven't seen  
this particular problem, but I did have problems with the web extensions.  
After uninstalling and reinstalling the problems were resolved. Others  
here have seen problems with MapGuide Studio disappear after an  
uninstall/reinstall sequence. It might be worth a try.
