[mapguide-users] Device space only for lines?

Yes, for lines and borders. Should I put in an enhancement request? :)

Lines are most important. In many cases I want them to show up as a
fixed width. Two examples:

- At large scales, I want road centrelines to show up at the their
physical width, as defined in the database. I don't have a polygonal
roads coverage; this allows me to shade the roads.
- I want to be able to do the same with utility pipes.

I can work around this by pre-processing the lines into polygons (using
FME), but it would be much nicer if I could just define a map-units line
width in the application.

Jason,

Do you mean mapping space line width? In that case the answer would be
no. However, this is a feature that can easily be added.

Is there any way to define lines in map space instead of device space?
This is going to be a considerable problem for me if not...
