Hi,

Maplab is very tightly tied to UMN Mapserver and won't do anything
useful for a mapguide application.

Kenneth is correct when he states that Web Studio performs essentially
the same function as the commercial Studio application. It has several
significant limitations but for simple applications you should be able
to get everything done with Web Studio. It does allow you to create,
edit and manage resources in the repository.

You can also use the mapagent (http://localhost:8008/mapguide/mapagent
in a default install) to make repository modifications that Web Studio
doesn't support yet.

N.B. I made a significant bugfix to the file upload code after the
Mapguide Open Source 1.0.1 release so you should get the svn version
if you need that functionality. If you can wait, It will be rolled
into the next 1.0.x release.
