[mapguide-users] Create layer from oracle database without spatial data

I'm not sure you that you can set up such a table in Studio with Oracle.
You can create an ODBC connection to the Oracle database instead.
On the ODBC FeatureSource setup page, you can set up tables and their 
x,y columns.
Such a mapped table can then be used as a layer.
