[mapguide-users] Mapguide 1.2.0 "make" error (recompile with -fPIC)

i think your problem is your on 64-bit and i don't think it's
supported yet, there has been some tasks
in trac about adding 64-bit support recently but for now i would
recommend going 32-bit,

I went down the same path with 64 bit on CentOS and only got things
working once i switched back to 32 bit

any reason why your using 1.2 and not 2.0?
