If people use Nabble to post and have not signed up for membership in
the mailing list, their messages will not make it through to email.
Here's the text from the Nabble page that a bunch of people seem to
ignore:  "Please note that you MUST register for the mailing list using
the above link before your messages will be accepted. If you do not
register, nobody on the mailing list will see them and you will get a
rejection email."

I believe that Jackie was posting from Nabble, which would explain how
he saw the message.
