Good afternoon.

I have to install MGOS 2.1 (not 2.0, not 2.2) on a cloud with OS Ubuntu 10.04. I 've seen a post on the mailing list that seems to say that it works.

I'm using the step by step tutorial "Building mapGuide on Ubuntu 8.04" dedicated to MGOS 2.0 http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Building_MapGuide_on_Ubuntu_8.04 <http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Building_MapGuide_on_Ubuntu_8.04>

I've read the build instructions for MGOS 2.2 on Ubuntu 10.04. I've read other guides too.

Would someone be so kind as to give me some hints on

- what is required for MGOS2.1 and not written on the guide for MGOS2.0 and

- which native component of Ubuntu 10.04 will prevent MG to install properly.

For example, I've noticed that:

FDO must be installed instead of FDO 3.3 for MG2.1

Gcc 4.4 is native on Ubuntu 10.04 but I have to set up Ubuntu with GCC 4.1 as in the doc for MGOS2.0

What about Python? Native Python2.6-dev or Python2.5-dev

What about java? Etc.

Thank you for your help. I'm so sorry to ask this question since you all seem to be experts.
