Hi Martin,

The binaries should be installed as root and mgserver.sh/mgserverd.sh should be run as root. You may be able to run under another user account if you chown everything under /usr/local/mapguideopensource-2.2.0 and possibly /usr/local/fdo-3.5.0.

MapGuide 2.2 RC3 binaries have also been posted http://trac.osgeo.org/mapguide/wiki/Release/2.2RC3/Notes.

Regards,
Trevor

Subject: [mapguide-users] mginstallubuntu.sh and serverconfig.ini

Hi

I installed MapGuide 2.2 on Ubuntu Server LTS 10.04. When I try to start
mgserver, I have the following error:
"Configuration file "serverconfig.ini" cannot be found or cannot be
open" Server stopped

Any idea?

Martin F
