your client machine have? I've found that with insufficient memory the client

server and I&#8217;m logging into the server from my client machine via
Studio.&nbsp; It&#8217;s painfully slow at times.&nbsp; It seems to struggle
with the databases that contain the most information.&nbsp;&nbsp; Smaller
databases are fine.&nbsp;&nbsp; It&#8217;s not just databases
either.&nbsp;&nbsp; It&#8217;s an inconsistent manner in which it pulls up the
layers, symbols, etc.&nbsp;&nbsp; Sometimes it&#8217;s a quick process and
other times I sit and wonder if the program will respond back.&nbsp;&nbsp;
&nbsp;I would love to use Oracle as the datasource, but that performance is
worse.&nbsp; In most cases, it won&#8217;t respond back and Studio shuts down.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

server for the best performance. If you are uploading it from Studio and using
a connection string rather than a DSN it will reside on the server. Personally
I would set up using a DSN on the server and keep the database in a local data
folder somewhere. Trying to access an Access database across a network involves
getting permissions and user rights correct which can be annoying to resolve.</span></font><o:p></o:p></p>

fast when it is stored locally, remotely it's much slower. If you are on an
external server do you have a firewall and/or proxy server to contend with?

when trying to pull up my Access database resources in Studio, it takes a very,
very, long time. &nbsp;I&#8217;m just trying to make sure the connections are
valid and working.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Is anyone else experiencing this?&nbsp;&nbsp;
It&#8217;s fine when I do everything local.&nbsp;&nbsp; Is this a known issue
