this mailing list, I have tried setting my FORMAT type to each of the three
listed image types. I do this in this in the ajaxmappane.templ file.
When working with photos I get a nice benefit from changing the default from PNG
to GIF. The GIF images produced in the <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place
w:st="on">AJAX</st1:place></st1:City> viewer are about 1/3<SUP>rd</SUP> the size
of the PNG images. That has to have a positive impact on
performance.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>
