First of all, you should NOT use the repositories library for storage
of your own files (eg. packages).<br>
In fact you should consider everything below the Repositories folder a
"black box". All files in this folder is considered to be managed by
MapGuide Server, and should not be modified from elsewhere. Make sure
that you do not use this path.<br>

To change your path, edit the file located <br>
in<br>
C:\Program Files\MapGuideOpenSource\Server\Bin\Serverconfig.ini<br>
<br>
In this file, find the line starting with:<br>
PackagesPath = <br>
<br>
then make sure that the line is now:<br>
PackagesPath = C:\Program Files\MapGuideOpenSource\Server\Packages<br>
<br>
Save the file and make sure that the above mentioned folder exists and
is read/writeable by the MapGuide service.<br>
Then restart the mapguide service (or just reboot the machine).<br>

Type username/password (default is Administrator/admin) and click "Log
in".<br>
Click on "Manage Packages"<br>
On the left side of the screen, type the path to the top most folder,
eg:<br>
Entire server: Library://<br>
Only Redding: Library://Redding<br>
<br>
Type something meaningfull in the box "Resulting package name", eg: "my
<br>
package.mpg".<br>
Click the "Make button".<br>
<br>
The package will be placed in the Package directory (usually C:\Program
<br>
Files\MapGuideOpenSource\Server\Packages).<br>
If you use Linux, or have changed the default directory, Click "Manage <br>
Packages" on the right, and "Configure Packages Directory" on the right.<br>
You can now see what the package directory is configured to be.<br>
<br>
All packages created by the MapGuide Server will be placed in this
folder.<br>
<br>
To load a package, place it in this folder, login to the MapGuide
Server <br>
Admin as described above.<br>
Click "Manage packages" on the right, select the package on the list <br>
(bottom, left).<br>
Then click "Load Package".<br>
<br>
Note that only files with the "mgp" file extension will show up in the
list.<br>
