1. Yes. If you use MGOS 2.0.1, it should have the latests FDO
providers. MGOS 2.0.0 is missing some providers, you must add manually.<br>

2. There are specific providers for ArcSDE as well as SHP. The OGR
provider also supports those formats.<br>
As for your rasters, the GDAL provider supports many raster formats,
maybe yours too:<br>

<pre wrap="">Thanks for fast response!
I read carefully links you send to me. Again I have some questions.
1. Is FDO installed together with MGOS extension, or I should I do that
manually?
2. All me data is in Esri geodatabases and in shp'es. According documentation
FDO does not suport rasters in AcrSDE. Is there anyway to add rasters to
MGOS? I have about 1Tb of areal photos is it possible to publish it via MGOS?
3. I was unable to find anything in Getting started guide.Did you mean
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://mapguide.osgeo.org/sites/mapguide.osgeo.org/files/GettingStarted.pdf">http://mapguide.osgeo.org/sites/mapguide.osgeo.org/files/GettingStarted.pdf</a> ?

<pre wrap="">Welcome to the project :)
1. It supports many spatial formats, not only databases, through Feature
Data Objects:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://fdo.osgeo.org/">http://fdo.osgeo.org/</a>
A list of providers can be found here:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://fdo.osgeo.org/OSProviderOverviews.html">http://fdo.osgeo.org/OSProviderOverviews.html</a>
2. It uses an internal DbXml database to store data that is not spatial.
It is located in the repository folder, but you should not modify it
manually.
You might have heard talk of the SDF format, which is a database like
format for spatial data.
3. Yes! There are 3 different ones, they are listed in the "Getting
started with MapGuide" guide on page 3:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://mapguide.osgeo.org/2.0/documentation.html">http://mapguide.osgeo.org/2.0/documentation.html</a>
4. There are error reports for Firefox 3:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://trac.osgeo.org/mapguide/search?q=Firefox+3&noquickjump=1&ticket=on&c">http://trac.osgeo.org/mapguide/search?q=Firefox+3&noquickjump=1&ticket=on&c</a>
hangeset=on&wiki=on If your problem does not match on of the described ones,
please create a ticket for it.

<pre wrap="">Hi everybody!
I'm was working with ESRI familiar products, but now trying to move to
open source.
Today I installed mapguide open source on my machine. Everything went
fine. But getting started guide is not so good. I have folloving
questions: 1. What data (database) formats MGOS does support?
2. I read that it has native database, where it is located?
3. Is there any hot-to help to load raster datasets, or vector data to
program?
4. I'm trying to look to examples from
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://mapguide.osgeo.org/livegallery.html">http://mapguide.osgeo.org/livegallery.html</a> but insted of layer color I
get ? - is there any problem with me broser (firefox 3 b5)?
Thanks,
Dumas
