<div dir="ltr"><div>Hello MapGuide Open Source Users,</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Is it possible to compile MapGuide Open Source without Java (J2SE)?</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Per <a href="http://mapguide.osgeo.org/2.0/docs/BuildInstallQuickStartLinux.html">http://mapguide.osgeo.org/2.0/docs/BuildInstallQuickStartLinux.html</a> "MapGuide requires the J2SE Development Kit. Download and install the J2SE Development kit from <a href="http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp">http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp</a>"</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Reason is my Internet Service Provider - <a href="http://bluehost.com">bluehost.com</a> - doesn't support Java. From my limited knowledge, it appears Java is only required if I'm using Tomcat or is Tomcat required for all Apached/PHP installs of MapGuide?</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Thanks for the help,</div>
