I belive some Autodesk people have previously posted on this list, that
the official Autodesk recommendation is to avoid using network folders.<br>
(Gladly corrected, should I be wrong)<br>

I have tried to use SMB folders on windows, and it works, but is slow.<br>
When acessing the data, do you mount the remote folder, of use it with
the protocol access (smb://)?<br>
Without having tried it on Linux, I'm pretty sure that MapGuide just
ask the OS to enumerate the files in the given folder (when browsing).<br>

to access
data via a mounted folder coming from another Linux machine? If so what
file
protocol did you use to expose and mount the folder?<o:p></o:p></p>

an Ubuntu
machine is shared using NFS and I mounted the folder on the MG Server
using
NFS. When browsing the folders using MG Studio to access the files this
works
if the NFS share is read/write.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I have been somewhat unsuccessful sharing the
same folder
using SMBFS. Technically I can access the data, but I can’t browse it
via MG

generally accessing
