1) There is no difference in how you create the maps, the viewer
doesn't know, and doesn't care.<br>
2) Development (as in coding) is less if you just create the maps in
Studio/Maestro, but development (as in administrating maps) may grow,
and cannot be easily automated.<br>
3) I would expect this to be an insignificant issue.<br>
4) I have no good guess.<br>
5) I'm pretty sure that the maps saved with Studio/Maestro will be
supported "forever".<br>
<br>
You can save a little overhead, if you save the generated maps into the
"Library://" repository, instead of the "Session:" one.<br>
It requires slightly higher privileges to do so (author role?), but
that way, you can automate the build of maps,<br>
and just point to the correct one on startup.<br>

link layer with map and map
