set the Feature Label to use this column, and<br>
you can update the column data to change the text.<br>

If you have no spare columns, you can add a new FeatureSource (or table in a
database) that has a text column.<br>
Then insert points that correspond to the desired location (pehaps the feature
centroid), and update text as you like.<br>
<br>
If you are writing this from scratch, take a look at the buffer code, as it
shows how to add a (temporary) feature source,<br>
and corresponding layer.<br>
