You can select the features, and use that as a "highlight".<br>

A more elaborate and customizable method would be <br>
to create two layers, based on the same data source.<br>
Layer A will be normal, and layer B will display all features
highlighted.<br>
<br>
The set the filter for layer B to:<br>
ID = 7<br>
and the filter for layer A to:<br>
NOT (ID = 7)<br>
<br>
The effect will be that the feature with ID = 7 will appear highlighted.<br>
