I can&#39;t speak for the ArcSDE FDO provider which would definately be the
best place for this support.  But the development version of GDAL does
include ArcSDE raster support.  So, in theory, the fdogdal provider could
be built in such a way to access sde raster data.  None of the default
builds do this though.
