Hi all,<br />I have been getting the error<br />****************************************************************<br /> System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (559) MgFdoException.<br /> at Autodesk.MapGuide.Studio.Site.Comm.RequestManager.ExecutePendingGetRequestToString(Operation operation)<br /> at Autodesk.MapGuide.Studio.Site.Comm.RequestManager.TestConnection(String resourceId, String provider, String connectionString)<br /> at Autodesk.MapGuide.Studio.Site.FeatureSourceInfo.TestConnection()<br /> at Autodesk.MapGuide.Studio.UI.FeatureSourceEditors.TestConnectionControl.buttonTestConnection_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)<br /><br />***************************************************<br />I have been getting the same error while connecting to oracle using king oracle provider on different/independent setups that i have<br /><br /> SETUP 1 - MY LAPTOP <br /> <br /> I have installed<br /> MGOS 1.0.2 <br /> ORACLE 9.2<br /> Munsys - Munsys is a software which works on map3d and oracle spatial data. <br /> Munsys comes with a demo data which I have installed . the dataset is installed in oracle 9.2<br /> i can open and see the spatial tables. i can pull this data in map3d 2006 , query data etc<br /> so everything works fine on that end. now i have to pull the same spatial map in MapguideOS <br /> (please chk the attached screenshots, i can query and reterive parcels ) <br /> following Haris's FLASH Demo<br /> I got FDO2FDO , king oracle provider instant client etc all setup as instructed in the demo by haris<br /><br /> now i Start Mapguide studio create a new data connection using King oracle provider<br /> and enter the user name and password etc<br /> and the click Test Connection . and THAT IS WHERE I GET THE ABOVE ERROR<br /> (please chk the attached screenshots) <br /><br /> <br />SETUP 2 - MY DESKTOP <br /> I have installed <br /> MGOS 1.0.2 <br /> ORACLE XE<br /> <br /> I USED FDO2FDO to copy my shp to oracleXE , I could do that sucessfully,<br /> I crosschecked and the table was there in oracle database.<br /> <br /> Next I use Autodesk mapguide studio to try to connect to oracle xe (as shown in haris's demo) using king oracle provider<br /> i still get the same error<br /> Can somebody please help me on this<br /><br /><br />One thing that i could not understand in haris's demo was TNSNAMES step for Instant client<br />Can anyone please give me steps as to which file to edit and what to insert for TNSNAMES<br /><br />I have been trying the same stuff again and again for past one week , but without any sucess<br />Please help<br /><br /><br />Thanks <br />Shailesh<br /><br /><br /><br /><br />
