[MapProxy] Does Mapproxy honour cache expires?

Hi all,
I have a query regarding caching. I've setup Mapproxy with a tiles source
to another server which simply serves tiles in the Google/OSM format.

If that tiles source server has been setup to return tiles where the
headers are specified to expire after 7 days, for example, does Mapproxy
honour that setting and replenish its local repository of cache after the 7
days?
