Nope. I understand where you're coming from but I think there are problems with that approach. Complex
markers need multiple styles and I can't see turning a label into a classObj clone. We've been talking about
an extension to styles that would allow you to define a "type". The type could be all sorts of things: bbox,
arrows, outline and  ... a label marker. In that case the style would be interpreted as marker symbols and used
appropriately. Under this scheme you could draw a polygon, a marker symbol and it's bounding box all with
one layer definition. The label marker is only feasible since the addition of label priorities in 5.0.
