[mapserver-dev] Motion: managing UMN MapServer handbook files (german language) in the mapserver-svn

how about docs/de/handbuch ?

On a related note, how much translation has happened in the Mapserver
documentation/website arena?

There's obviously potential both for the current english docs to be
german'ed and for the german handbook to be english'ed.
