We published a german side http://umn-mapserver.de/ but as you can see - 
it is quite out of date and better should link to the mapserver.org 
page. I asked already about setting up a translation of the 
mapserver-page  in german but we didn't work on it while the side was at 
plone.

It would be the best to integrate the german sides in 
htp://mapserver.org. Jeff wrote that the side is automatically generated 
from the svn. So as we need svn right anyway, we could work on the 
german translation of the mapserver.org pages too.

I agree.

The german speaking community is quite big. I guess that we would easily 
find some people who would help to work on the tranlations and keep an 
eye on them.
You just would have to give an instruction who the structure of the 
files in the svn has to be and how the pages have to be formated.

About the svn access:
Could I send you a list of osgeo members and you could give access 
rights to them?
