Hello devs,

   == subject ==

   WFS-T editing using TinyOWS with the mapfile as config, PostGIS and
OpenLayers.

   == currently ==

    It works quite well and I'm really happy about it. To be able to
set the OpenLayers.Feature.Vector.fid property using the 'read' method
of the GML format, the 'fid' must be present in the gml returned. In
the mapfile, the "gml_featureid" metadata has to be set for that
attribute to be set in the GML.

   == enhancement ? ==

   When using the xml config of TinyOWS, you don't need to define this
kind of setting since it's able to automatically detect the primary key
of the table. Would it make sense to have such a feature in MapServer
to avoid having to set "gml_featureid" ?

Kind regards,
