+1 on a feature-freeze for 8.2 - did we hit all the feature targets?
I'm also find with waiting on the Skia renderer.

+1 on a feature-freeze for 8.2.
A new renderer will need tests/docs so would push things out, plus it would be a good feature to drive an 8.4 release (assuming development is completed).
