I would like to call for a vote on the recent discussion regarding the<br>
switch to libtool.<br>
Given the reticences regarding the blackbox behavior libtool, I will<br>
commit to implementing a --with(out)-libtool switch to our configure<br>
script should issues arise with the libtool builds. Note that in that<br>
case I will *not* be supporting building a dso module.<br>
