Given that the major issues that where preventing us from releasing<br>
6.2 have now been ironed out, I believe that we can enter our usual<br>
release phase, as documented at<br>

The documentation of our release process needs to be updated with the<br>
tasks induced by our switch from svn+trac to git+github. I will take<br>
care of updating RFC34 (release management), RFC7.1 (comitter<br>
guidelines), and other miscellaneous docs in the coming days.<br>
<br>
These are the proposed release dates:<br>
<br>
* branch-6-2 creation, 6.2.0-beta1 : Fri. June 29th, 2012<br>
* 6.2.0-beta2 - Wed. July 11th<br>
* 6.2.0-beta3 -    Wed. July 18th<br>
* 6.2.0-rc1 -  Wed. July 25th<br>
* 6.2.0-rc2 -   Wed. Aug 1st<br>
* 6.2.0 (final) -  Wed. Aug 8rd<br>

The branch creation and beta1 release will diverge from our usual<br>
Wednesday release scheduling, in order to account for this motion's<br>
voting period, and account for the 4th of July being a day off in the<br>
US.<br>
