<div>Sounds like a good plan to me. There are a few WIP parts on the Python MapScript I'll aim to get completed for the 7.4 release, so it is good to have a provisional date to work with. I'll start a wiki page with some release notes for 7.4 with a summary of the MapScript changes (to both Python and PHP). <br></div>

<div>Is it worth also starting a wiki for the 8.0 release ideas/suggestions/roadmap? I'd be interested in formalising the Mapfile syntax, and possibly deprecating old keywords as part of a 8.0 release. <br></div>
