<div><div>Hi Steve,<br></div>
<div><br></div>
<div>I see this has come up for discussion on the board list, so would be good to put in a request: <a href="https://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/board/2019-January/011971.html">https://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/board/2019-January/011971.html</a><br></div>
<div><br></div>
<div>CITE compliance sounds good. Are there fees to pay OGC for this, or is it to pay for the work of setting up tests and fixing MapServer code?<br></div>
<div>A maintainer role also sounds good, but could be complicated to sort out responsibilities?<br></div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Other possible options:<br></div>
<div><br></div>
<div>- Pay for some of the FOSS4G costs in Bucharest to give a MapServer project status talk?<br></div>
<div>- Stickers, T-shirts? Whilst not critical they may help improve MapServer's visibility at local chapter meetings, FOSS4G etc. and attract new users, who may in the future become MapServer commiters. <br></div>
<div>- "seed funding" for a feature. As you mention it wouldn't pay full costs but may make a concrete fund for others to contribute to. I guess this would require a v8.0 roadmap to be put in place. <br></div>
<div>- is all infrastructure for VMs already funded by OSGeo? A few more live hosted demos etc. would be good. I think we have one server already in place. <br></div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Regards,<br></div>
