Hi

I installed Mapserver 3.3 in my linux Red Hat 6.2 with GD 1.8.4, but the
demo didn't work:

loadSymbol(): GD library error.

This demo doesn't work with this GD version because it doesn't work with
GIF.
I don't understand why a new version doesn't accept file extensions from
an earlier version. Is it true?
I was looking for earlier versions of GD Lib to test my demo, and i
found the 1.6 version but it was not 1.6 really.
Inside the file there were 1.8 version files and the trouble was the
same.

Can you help me?
