[mapserver-users] EXTENT differing between layers?

As long as all layers have the same projection & coord. system, 
is it OK if layers have different extents? I have a bunch of 
layers and some differ by their extent by a degree or two. I see 
that EXTENT can only be defined at the level of MAP.
