[Mapserver-users] One Other Issue

First of all, thanks to everyone who answered my questions last night. I
think they're pretty well taken care of now.

I did have one other issue, I didn't mention it last night as I wanted to
try a few more things this morning. I haven't been able to fix it.

I'm having a problem with my aerial overlay. I followed the instructions
in the raster how-to & used gdaltindex to create a shapefile from my 175+
tif images. When I activate the layer, it works fine - aerial image of
the county is displayed. The problem is that when I deactivate it, it
never goes away (remains visible on the map).

>From my mapfile:

LAYER
        NAME "Aerial Overlay"
        STATUS OFF
        TILEINDEX "aerial"
        TILEITEM "location"
        TYPE RASTER
END

I've contacted the author of the phpGIS app to see if he knows of any bug
on his end that may cause this to happen. I'm also curious to see if
anyone here has seen this sort of thing happen before?

I have a series of checkboxes that are automatically generated by the
layers in the mapfile. When I uncheck the "Aerial Overlay", it doesn't go
away. This happens regardless of where I place the aerial layer in the
mapfile.

This doesn't happen with any of the other layers & I assume it's happening
with this one because it's a raster layer (only raster layer I have). I'm
wondering if it has anything to do with the mapplet java applet that's
being used to draw a drag box on the map? Maybe it doesn't like raster
images??

Anyone seen this before?

Thanks

Will
