Hello.
I would like to integrate MapServer into my own client application.
Specifically, I would like to extend my own existing map client (java based)
to support raster maps using MapServer.
What I need to know is, if there is an http interface to MapServer, which
does not leave temp maps on the disk, which I can use.
My client will keep the state, and will request maps for a specific extent
and zoom.
What I am looking for, it something like
http://omry/cgi-bin/mapserv.exe?map=/raster.map
<http://omry/cgi-bin/mapserv.exe?map=/raster.map&mode=map?img.x=32.3&img.y=3
2.4&img.width=0.5&img.height=0.5&pixels.width=400&pixels.width=400>
&mode=map?img.x=32.3&img.y=32.4&img.width=0.5&img.height=0.5&pixels.width=40
0&pixels.width=400

Or in human language:
I need to specify the map x, y width and height, and also the resulting
image pixels size.

Anyone?
