Thanks for the response....I ended up using the Shape perl module to do
everything I needed.

Hi,

I think you can use this simply as labelitem in the mapfile. If you only

have two items then this should be no problem. You can make one layer as

TYPE POINT with one item and a second as TYPE ANNOTATION with the second

item. If you want you can put them together as a group.
