[Mapserver-users] More than 100 layers in Mapserver

Hi,

I think it would require a re-think as to whether you really need that 
number of layers. There are usually other ways of approaching the 
problem, such as tile indexing if you wish to break a layer up into many 
regional parts. For a large number of image types from which the user 
can choose it might be a good idea to consider mapscript to produce the 
required layers from the request.
