[Mapserver-users] Mapserver Install Win32 problems

<html><div style='background-color:'><DIV class=RTE>I recently downloaded the precompiled version&nbsp;of&nbsp;Mapserver 4.0.2 for Windows and followed the installation instructions exactly.</DIV>

<DIV class=RTE>Next, I downloaded the Mapserver Itasca Application Demo and followed the installation instructions that accompanied that file.&nbsp; </DIV>
<DIV class=RTE>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV class=RTE>When trying on&nbsp;Apache, I get the following error:</DIV>

<DIV class=RTE>Internal Server Error</DIV>
<DIV class=RTE>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV class=RTE>The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.&nbsp; </DIV>
<DIV class=RTE>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV class=RTE>Please contact your server administrator, whoever<A href="mailto:whoever at whatever.com">@whatever.com</A> and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.</DIV>

<DIV class=RTE>When I try to use IIS instead of Apache, I get the following error:</DIV>

The server has deleted the process.</DIV>

<DIV class=RTE>I made sure the system path is right as described in the MapServer install documentation.</DIV>
<DIV class=RTE>I set all relevant folder permissions to full control for the iusr_cname just to make sure this is not a permissions issue.</DIV>
<DIV class=RTE>appropriately (as far as I know) edited the index.html file for the demo</DIV>
<DIV class=RTE>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV class=RTE>I have tried this with both precompiled&nbsp;versions of Mapserver 4.0.2 available with the same results.&nbsp; </DIV>
<DIV class=RTE>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV class=RTE>Does anyone know where my misconfiguration most likely lies?&nbsp; With the webserver, the website code, or the filestructure?</DIV>
<DIV class=RTE>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV class=RTE>Has anyone created more detailed instruction on IIS, Apache, or folder permission configuration for this application?</DIV>
<DIV class=RTE>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV class=RTE>Does anyone reccomend for use with Windows at all!??</DIV>
