Can ArcIMS consume WMS/WFS services?

At an ESRI user conference in Calgary I cornered a ESRI guy from
Redlands and asked him about more support for WMS with ArcIMS and he
indicated that WMS was just a fad and as such they wouldn't invest
time/effort until it was proven to be anything more then a fad.

Yeah, it's a bit of a joke!

None of the Arc version 9 products support WMS / WFS / WCS.
