troubles on GIF symbols transparency

Hi all,

I would like to define symbols with GIF images. In these images I would set white color as transparent.
The problem is that mapserver draws white parts as fill white and not as transparent.

In symbol file I define as follows:

#1007
Symbol
Name 'test'
Type PIXMAP
Image 'c:\trash\test.gif'
Transparent 0
END

I also tried to set Trasparent as 1 or 254 or 255, but nothing changes.

Anybody as any suggestions?...
