Undisguised e-mail addresses in mapserver archives

I agree about emails - I don't think I'm going to check the forum several times a day to see if something's there.  And I'm not going to "watch" a topic if I don't even know it exists!

The freeware version of the discus web forum can email posts to 'watched' topics.  There may be others which do the same.  Much as I like the structure of a nice web forum, if I don't get emailed the posts, I'll never read them.
