png-tiles doesn't work

hi group,

has anybody png-tiles as raster-source working with mapserver ?
for me (mapserver 4.6) it doesn't work at all (blank screen, just some 
black dots somewhere). if i convert all my files to gif and recreate the 
shapefile-index from the worldfiles everything works fine. is this a 
known bug. is it fixed in later releases ?

i'm working with png-output and it works well, so i think its no problem 
with png in general.
