queryable layers

Hi peeps,

I'm generating a dynamic layer with mapscript
(a point layer composed only of lat/longs, no
other attributes) and I was wondering if this layer
was actually queryable?

I think I don't fully understand the notion of queryability.
Would somebody care to exlplain?
