Question about bug 1975

Hi all-
Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask this kind of question. We
are running into all sorts of issues due to bug 1975 and trying to map
out our future development efforts. It looks like this bug is slated
to be fixed in version 5.0, does this sound right? If so does anyone
have a rough idea of when 5.0 might be released or is it completely
unknown at this time.
