[mapserver-users] FW: Time filter question

Hi,

 

I have a shape file that has an attribute 'ValidTime' as a string.  This
string has the format mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss

I would like to be able to query this attribute and match against the
current time to retrieve only features with a ValidTime in the past 5
mintues.

Is this possible using an expression query?  If so, how?  I'm using a simple
map file and the WMS service to return tiles for overlay on Google Maps.
