[mapserver-users] Using IMAGECOLOR to create a transparency mask

Sorry Glenn, I don't have an answer, but I've been dealing with the
same problem.

Transparency seems to work as expected with:

OUTPUTFORMAT
   NAME png24
   DRIVER "GD/PNG"
   MIMETYPE "image/png"
   IMAGEMODE RGBA
   EXTENSION "png"
   TRANSPARENT ON
END

but not with:

OUTPUTFORMAT
   NAME 'AGG'
   DRIVER AGG/PNG
   IMAGEMODE RGBA
   FORMATOPTION "PALETTE_FORCE=TRUE"
   FORMATOPTION "PALETTE="
   TRANSPARENT ON
END

It's as if with AGG/PNG the TRANSPARENT ON setting is completely ignored.
