[mapserver-users] Upgrading GDAL

Hi Robert,

imho this should work, if you build the binaries by your own - first build GDAL, then Mapserver from the sources.
I assume, that there aren't any ready packages for your scenario, but I'm not using ubuntu, please correct me, if I'm wrong.
I did it vice versa (debian), first raised Mapserver to V7, then after some bugfix-releases GDAL to V2 - finally worked fine.

Hi

Is it fine to upgrade GDAL separately from Mapserver? I have Mapserver 6.4 and GDAL v 1.10 on a Ubuntu server. I wish to take advantage of some GDAL v 2 improvements - specifically . Will anything break?
