FYI, I've just enhanced the OGR backend to have optimizations in the GPKG case similar to the 
ones of the Spatialite case (requires GDAL >= 2 and Spatialite >= 4.3). Note: I only dealt with 
the DATA "layer_name" case, not for SELECT...
