<p>I installed Mapserver 3.3 in my linux Red Hat 6.2 with GD 1.8.4, but
the demo didn't work:
<p><font size=+3>loadSymbol(): GD library error.</font>
<p>This demo doesn't work with this GD version because it doesn't work
with GIF.
<br>I don't understand why a new version doesn't accept file extensions
from an earlier version. Is it true?
<br>I was looking for earlier versions of GD Lib to test my demo, and i
found the 1.6 version but it was not 1.6 really.
<br>Inside the file there were 1.8 version files and the trouble was the
same.
<p>Can you help me?
