your performance. You'll need to do some testing to find out. The
other machine might be faster, or slower, might have a faster disk subsystem or
a slower one, might have more or less RAM, etc. And the network may be

helping - you've got an independent disk system, at least one more CPU, and more
RAM available to your application than you would otherwise. You have the
overhead of the network counteracting that benefit. It all depends very

(via NFS) and - in my particular configuration - see no particular benefit to
having data stored locally rather than remotely. Your system will be
different, and there are so many variables that you will need to do that testing
