file. I went to the FWTools website and got the latest version of GDAL as you
suggested (I had a slightly older version) and updated the gdaltindex file, I
then ran the script that Bart provided and the shapefile index for the ERS
imagery was created with the pathways included within the dbf </span></font><font

size=2 face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'> so it
